Abandoned Houses

I would love to take credit for these, but I can't. I found them here. I don't know why I love them so much, but for some reason old, abandoned houses are really intriguing to me. I can't help but stare at them. I don't know if it's because I know that there has to be such an amazing story behind them. So, many wonderful things or horrible things had to go on inside those walls. I think every house has a story. If only they could tell it. Or the other reason could be because I've developed this weird habit of walking in to a house or driving by a house and all I think about is "OK, what would I do first to this house?". I love tearing apart houses and improving them and changing them. When we moved into the house that I live in right now we completely gutted it. We got to tear out carpet and tile and we even got to take a sledge hammer to an old fireplace. But I think my favorite part was shingling the roof. I know I'm weird. As I was looking at these pictures I thought of my favorite abandoned houses around my hometown and then I though hmmm....what a fun project. I may just have to take my little camera around town and document them. Anyway, look at how beautiful these houses are!

These two are my favorite!

  1. That second house totally looks like the one from that movie "Monster House".
